An easy forestry walk for the Solstice evening. It's on good firm ground and with a fair bit of woodland shelter, and somewhere around 3 miles.
We will start from our usual parking place, on the B4470 road that runs between the Oakley Arms at Maentwrog and Rhyd, about 200 yards NW of Tan y Bwlch railway station, just after you've passed under the Ffestiniog railway line.
We will walk along the forestry track from here, around Llyn Hafod, then head up to the viewpoint high above the woodlands, looking down over the Dyrwyd estriary.
