A chainsaw certification is invaluable to have if you work as a volunteer in the Winter with Wilderness Corps or the SNF. We cut the downed trees out of the trail and do minor brushing on the Silent Sports Trails for the Winter Sports like Cross-country Skiing and snowshoeing. We also will be cutting Snowmobile Trails out by Mushroom Rock and around Kokanee.
Schedule:
- 4 - Hours of Classroom
- 1 - day in the field cutting
Day 1 Training will be at the High Sierra Ranger Station in Prather, CA and The field day will be held at Kokanee Work Center. Mike will give you directions in the classroom portion where the field day will be held.
