The Hot Chocolate Festival (YUM!) is on for the entire month of February.  I was thinking we could combine a bit of walk downtown (about 1 hr or less) with 6 places to stop along the way for hot chocolate so everyone can choose their own.  Every place has a little bit of a different take on it.We would meet at the View Street Parkade and the first stop would be Chocolat & Co. followed by Flourish BeauTea, Murchies, and Chocolats Favoris, all located within a few blocks of each other but all offering a different concoction.  From here we will stroll down Govement Street and around the inner harbour to Duo Cafe and then onto Pendray Inn.  Then we can wander back to the cars or …

The 42nd Peninsula Co-op Santa Claus Parade presented by Chek will kick off at 5:00pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Government and Belleville.We will meet on Douglas Street near the Sticky Wicket at about 3:30 to stake out a spot on the parade route.  Parking is available in the Courtney/Broughton parkade but come early to get a spot.  Be sure to bring a chair or a blanket to sit on and bundle up.
The route will move north along Government, east on Humboldt and North on Douglas where it will disperse at the Victoria Public Market. Road closures will begin downtown at 3pm for marshalling.
There will collections of food and cash for the Mustard Seed Street Church and Food Bank. …
