This particular weekend the intention is to head off the beaten track on a fairly easy early Sunday morning stroll with some fantastic views (weather permitting). We'll go nice and early whilst it's still quiet.
The walk is just less than 3 miles in total and will follow the old quarry tramway bed at the head of Cwm Teigl, which curves around the back of Manod, high above Blaenau ffestiniog and Cwm Penmachno, to reach the original Cwt-y-Bugail quarry.
The terrain is all on the firm paths of the tramway bed, (though we do occasionally deviate around any soggy or flooded bits).
