Sunday high level ramble to Llynnau Bowydd & Newydd

A "there and back" walk of 4 miles in total, along the old tramway between Manod Quarry (Cwt y Bwgail) past Llyn Bowydd and Llyn Newydd to the high point above Maenofferen Quarry.

There are no obstacles, but the tramway bed can be quite wet in places, so you'll definitely need your boots!  There seem to be no sheep around up there now - mostly been brought onto lower slopes for the winter,  It can also be quite cold up there, so do wrap up warm!

There are some interesting slate quarry artefacts en route, and we will stop halfway at the top of the old incline down to Maenofferen for a refreshment break - so bring a flask with a …
