Our next meeting will be on Thursday, April 4. Normally, we meet on a Tuesday or Wednesday, but we decided to mix things up a bit this month. We’re meeting at our usual spot, Silver Spruce Brewing Company, in Traverse City.
One key topic we’ll discuss is the Bitcoin Halving.
The next Bitcoin halving is estimated to occur on April 20th, 2024, just 34 days from now. Bitcoin miners who successfully validate transactions are currently rewarded with 6.25 new Bitcoin for each mined block. The halving will reduce the block reward to 3.125 BTC. This date is an estimate and may change with each new block mined.
