Colorado Airheads Tech day and Chile meet, Saturday, 18 May, 2024 in Centennial CO.

Bring your old BMW Airhead to the Denver area Colorado Airhead Tech Day and Chile-Meat, 18 May 2024. The attendees have made the Tech Day successful the last couple of years so let’s do it again!

The fun starts at 8:00 with coffee and doughnuts available. There is a double garage and large area of concrete driveway that can accommodate several work stations at once. This year we have a lift available for old those knee-bending adjustments!

@Dick Paschen: The bike has been sitting for unknown amount of time. I'm rebuilding carbs now. I don't know if it has any mechanical issues

I moved to Denver from Columbus, Ohio, with two Airheads from Re-Psycle in Lithopolis Oh. Finding a source for basic maintenance ideas and finding common interests is a goal. Thanks to all for this organization.

Hello all. I’ve got an R75/6 that I am trying to get more healthy for the road. I bought it from a seller that had it in their garage sitting since 2007. I’ve done what I would consider minor work to it and got it rolling, even had a ride to work test. I’m very novice and learning as I go mechanic wise. I know there’s many things to still be done. To prevent a more lengthy post, I can post later about what I’ve done so far to get a better picture of the bike’s state. I’m trying to use this for the “distinguished gentlemen ride” in COS the next day unless someone says definitely don’t use this right now. Luckily I’ve got a healthy R75/5 as a back up. My ask is, can I bring it to the event to get more experienced opinions and create a sort of “to do” list for the bike to be healthy? Thanks.

@Ben Hughey: I am happy to help you and may do the COS DGR too. My bike doesn't need any help so I'm coming for the social time and to lend hand. I have gone through everything on my /6 (starting with a Tech Day at Dicks in 2019!) and learned a lot. Since then, I've completely taken down and restored an R75/5 which I'll be riding over Sat morning.

@John Gale: thanks for the assist. Unfortunately I came down really sick starting yesterday and it’s still at its apex. I’m going to attempt to get my forks back together today but I won’t be making it to the tech day tomorrow. I’m going to try and rest and be full up for Sunday’s ride. Was looking forward to meeting everyone.
