The Churn

Hi Guys,

On our fun night out some interesting observations were made about our club. Before Covid, we had a decent degree of mixing between tables, with people swapping between games but since then the tables are pretty much solidified into three groups. It would be nice to mix it up, even if only for a 6 week run. It would freshen up games and give a potentially different experience for a lot of players. People could try new game systems and new GMs. It might even encourage people moving between tables and dilute the set mix.

So the suggestion is for The Churn!

At the end of January three volunteer GMS post three games for six players each. Then the 6 players are randomly chosen for each game. You basically play what you randomly choose for 6 weeks.  It might work but it will be different. It will break down some of the formed groups and give players an insight in to other GMs.

How do people feel about this? Are people willing to try it?

I am happy to be one of the three GMs – I would need 2 others GMs to volunteer.

I will mention it again on Monday night but wanted to start a discussion now.

What do people think?

Dave

Happy to give it a go.
What rule sets do think are appropriate, or people willing to play anything?

Overall a positive response from the komrades on Monday and a kind degree of understanding for those not interested.
We have enough players and volunteer GMs to go ahead.
I know our games are out of sync so we are going for a start date of:
February 5th.
I still have a few to ask but we have enough to go.

Anyone who has not been able to sign up for the Churn, but interested, please contact me.
We have three very different games ready to run.
As you know players will be randomly assigned to the games for max. churn mix-up.
The 3 GMs will be publicly drawing raffle tickets on Monday the 18th, so everyone has plenty of time.
