There has been a bit of debate over this edge and I thought it useful to clarify my interpretation of it.
Danger Sense lets you make a Notice-2 roll right before danger strikes.
The effect of Danger Sense, if successful, will prevent an enemy from getting 'The Drop' on you.
When a character gets 'The Drop' they get +4 to hit and damage.
When you make a danger sense roll you are 'on hold' when the danger presents itself, meaning you may act first automatically in the suprise round. It's also a roll you can make that completely ignores things like your enemy's stealth ability (it's a flat notice roll (at -2) not an opposed roll).
The PC is 'on hold' which means that he may automatically choose to act first in that surprise round (or hold his action, or interrupt, as he chooses). Assuming of course he makes that notice roll at -2.
