Hobler Lake is in the John Muir Wilderness, app. 4.5 miles from the Maxson trailhead at Courtright Reservoir. It's a popular short overnight for many.
However, the spur trail to the lake (about half a mile long) is left uncleared, and there are more than a dozen fallen trees now. Wilderness Corps has scheduled an overnight trip to clear that section of trail.
Sign up at the Wilderness Corps calendar, then go to Wildernesscorps.com and register as a volunteer. All ages are welcome, though children must be accompanied by a legal guardian. No dogs, please. This is a crossposted co-ed trip.
